Federal Hemp Ban Update
Hey friends, I have some sad news.
Over the last few weeks, the hemp industry has been chewed up and spit out by our state and federal governments. If you haven't been keeping up with things, last night (November 12, 2025) the government signed a bill to reopen the government, and tucked into that bill is a hemp provision that will effectively wipe out the hemp industry. A sleazy senator from Kentucky named Mitch McConnell slipped this language into the funding bill to reopen the government.
This new law rewrites the definition of hemp under federal law and puts a cap of 0.4mg of THC per package for ALL hemp products. Mitch stated this will not affect CBD products and other forms of hemp for agricultural use, however, he is VERY wrong. No realistic hemp product (even the plant!) can meet this new cap, thus wiping out a $30 billion industry and leaving over 300,000 workers out of a job and consumers like yourself without the products you need most.
Here's the good news. We have until November 13, 2026 to fight back. Steve's Hemp will continue operating and moving forward online and in-store during this time, until we are legally forced to stop.
What will save the hemp industry?
We will be working with senators, representatives, and industry groups to push for a new Farm Bill or corrective legislation that adds sensible regulations including age restrictions, independent lab testing, clear labeling, and reasonable dosing caps. Our continued goal is to protect consumers, small businesses, and keep this industry alive for the people who rely on our products to live.

Tell them how hemp products help you and that this new 0.4mg THC cap is unrealistic and will only push consumers towards untested, unregulated, and unsafe black market products.
